“That was when the world wasn’t so big and I could see everywhere. It was when my father was a hero and not a human.” ― Markus Zusak, I Am the Messenger
It was that sudden instance that I found myself crying.
Yeah, and I admit it. Just watching Miracle in Cell No. 7 will surely shed you in tears. And this movie is very relevant in today’s celebration of Father’s Day.
Fatherly Love?? Yes, this is what the movie entailed. This is a movie worth watching because it will surely give you something to think of. Something like unconditional love, care and affection a father can shower his child.
Miracle in Cell No. 7 is a Korean Movie about an intellectually handicapped man charged with death penalty after he was mistakenly accused of abducting and murdering a young girl. This is a story of building a friendship between inmates and having a kid (the man’s daughter) inside the prison, to spent her life with his loving dad (even if it is prohibited). And most of all, the movie is about seeking justice in a n unfair world. This is a fascinating movie and you can really learn a lot from this one.
A father, just like a mom, is a special person God has created. He knows how to value his kids and giving them with all the necessary things they need. He is the living hero in a family. And even if we turn the world upside down, a father is a father, and nothing can change that.
To my Papa in heaven, Happy Father’s Day! I love you, forever. 🙂
